- Goods do not need to be presented to customs when the transit/TIR procedure is completed.
- The transit declaration/TIR Carnet is submitted electronically for completion.
- Time- and cost savings as goods do not need to be delivered to a customs control point.
- Customs inspection is carried out at location of goods, as stated in the authorisation.
- The authorisation may specify more than one authorised location for the goods.
